Preparation among the cleanest and most practical on the market, the right company for those who travel a lot and love coffee.
The system was invented in 2005 by Alan Adler and over the years two different extraction methods have been developed, classic and inverted. In addition to the explorer, this extraction is ideal for those who want a clean and straight cup, that is, with non-preponderant aromatic notes, an accentuation of acidity to shorten the persistence and a good body.
Classic Mode:
1. Assemble the Aeropress with the paper filter, place it over a cup and rinse the filter with hot water.
2. Weigh and grind coffee (medium) to desired quantity.
3. Pour the ground coffee into the Aeropress cylinder.
4. Add hot water (about 90°-94° C) to the desired level, making sure to wet the coffee evenly.
5. Pour hot water (90°-94°C) over the coffee and proceed to blooming.
6. Mix gently with the spatula provided to wet all the ground coffee evenly.
7. Add the remaining water until the cylinder is full.
8. Mix gently with a spoon or spatula to even out the extraction.
9. Insert the plunger and infuse for 60 seconds
10. Push slowly until it reaches the bottom (about 30 seconds of constant pressure) and serve
Invert Mode:
1. Assemble the Aeropress in inverted mode: place the cylinder with the piston already inserted facing downwards.
2. Weigh and grind the coffee. Add it to the cylinder.
3. Pour hot water (90°-94°C) over the coffee and proceed to blooming.
4. Mix gently with the spatula provided to wet all the ground coffee evenly.
Add the remaining water until the cylinder is full.
5. Place the paper filter wet with hot water in the appropriate cap and screw it onto the cylinder.
6. Leave to infuse for 90 to 120 seconds, depending on taste.
7. Carefully invert the Aeropress over the cup and slowly press on the piston until the extraction is complete.
For cleaner extraction, stop as soon as it stops to avoid dust residue.
